P&L summary (Nifty option writing) for Dec.

Power of selling options-

Below is the P&L summary shared with us by one of our client (he has been kind enough to share this and we are posting this with his due permission).

Now the special thing about this summary is that all trades have been executed in out of the money Nifty call puts in 2-3 lots ( max 4 lots in one go) using our trade recommendations.

We recommend going long/short in Nifty futures however for every buy recommendation this client has been selling out of money puts and for every sell recommendation Nifty calls have been sold. Now one might argue that by buying/selling Nifty futures one could have made a lot more money and thats true but the point is that by selling out of money call/puts one reduces the risk by a great deal ( more than 50%) and even if Sl is trigerred one is likely to exit with no or very negligible loss.

Now even after reducing the risk he has earned >30K in one month ( which might not seem a lot but it translates to > 10% return in one month ( >100% PA) and if someone is expecting more then he should head for vegas and not for Stock markets.

Nifty Analysis, Outlook and Trend for 03rd Dec 2019

Medium Term Trend:  ↑ UP (Changes to down below 11500)

Slipped from All Time Highs: Nifty opened strong at 12135 levels but quikcly droppped below 12100 levels. It made several attempts to reclaim 12100 but failed and closed flat at 12050 levels.

Market continue to move broadly in line with our prediction and on expected lines. In previous post we had mentoned:

 "the chances of reclaiming 12100 are pretty high. Its likely that Nifty can test 12200-12300 levels however from the technical perspective there is a strong chance of Nifty begining another round of correction which might bring it again towards 11900-12K levels"

Now this is exactly how markets played out last week. Nifty broke above 12100 and touched 12150 and then made a U turn and touched 12K levels again. Point to note is that market has not really broken down inspite of the bad GDP numbers which suggests that overall trend remains on the upside however inspite of that there is a likelyhood of market slipping further towards 11850-11900 levels from here. If 11850 is broken then we are looking at 11700 levels.

On the upside if 12035 is reclaimed then we can expect another shot at 12200-12250 levels.

Nifty Analysis, Outlook and Trend for 23rd Oct 2019

Medium Term Trend:  ↑ UP (Changes to down below 11100)

Nifty Pull Backs: : Nifty opened positive around 11700 today but saw some bit of profit booking at higher levels and fell below 11600 levels. It closed at 11590 levels ( down 70 points).

In previous post we had clearly mentioned that even though the near term trend of the market remains on the upside some amount of pull back or profit booking is likely form these levels as markets are approaching overbought zone from short term perspective. also Nifty had runup quite a bit in last 7-8 tradng sessions so the downmove is totally on the expected lines.

Going forward, now that we have broken below 11600, sustained trading below 11600 could invite a bit more selling and push Nifty down a bit more from here. On the downside 11400-450 zone should offer a strong support but even its broken, Nifty can find support anywhere in 11100-11550 zone. Its a big range hence traders are advised not to go short but wait for right opportunity to go long ( on the first sign of a breakout). Overall trend remains up as long as 11050 level stays intact.

Nifty Analysis, Outlook and Trend for 16th Oct 2019

Medium Term Trend:  ↑ UP (Changes to down below 11050)

Upmove Gaining Momentum : Nifty opened flattish around 10350 but kept on inching up. it touched a high of 11460 and at one stange was trading 120+. It finally closed at 11430 levels up 90 points.

Yesterday there was a sharp downmove from 11400 levels which raised the doubts if market has started another corretction and it encouraged traders to open short positions in the last hour. However we have been continuously mentioning that the overall trajectory of the market remains on the upside and all dips should be utilised for enterting long positions. We also advised syrongly against making short positions in the market.

The falls we are witnessing are sharp but shallow and are not giving the followup selling thats the reason we continue to adopt buy on dips strategy for now. Today Nifty has closed around its crucial resitance of 11440 (slightly below it) and follow up buying above 11440 should take Nifty towards 11550-11600 levels On the other hand on the downside 11300 and 11190 should offer plenty of support and unless Nifty breaks these levels there is no reasons for Bulls to worry,

Nifty Analysis, Outlook and Trend for 27th Sep 2019

Medium Term Trend:  ↑ UP (Changes to down below 11050)
Strong Expiry : Nifty opened with a positive bias , just below 11500 levels and quickly moved on to 11600 levels. It traded between 11500-600 for most part of the day and closed at 11570 levels up 130 points.

Today inspite of expiry day, there wasn't too much volatility and Nifty quickly erased all the losses of yesterday. Like we have been guiding and advising, the near term trend for Nifty remains up and all dips could be utilised to enter long positions now.

We had changed the medium term trend of Nifty to 'up' when it closed at 11075 levels couple of weeks back and since then Nifty has gained 500+ points. Infact when Nifty was trading at 10800-700 levels we were continuously advising against going shorts and maintained our view that this was just a part of bottoming out process and Nifty could make some important bottom around these levels and head higher.

On monthly charts ( expiry to expiry) Nifty has gained around 600 points which is a very positive and bullish sign. Going forward, now since Nifty has already run up close to 1000 points from its recent lows so theres a chance of some consolidation around these levels. Its entirely possible that Nifty spend some time here and then move up or it may move a little more from here ( 300-400 points) and then start consolidating. In nutshell it will continue to move up and there is nothing on charts which is suggesting that Nifty wants to go down in a hurry. Tomorrow if chart change then our view will change as well but for now we continue to believe that Nifty is headed higher from here.
